The Ba soccer team's top two players may not play in 2007 / 2008 O-League playoffs. This has put Ba soccer officials under pressure, as they are trying to convince the players not to take up the offer.
Defender Peni Finau and striker Osea Vakatalesau have signed contracts with New Zealand's Young-Heart Manawatu for the next season.
Under the new transfer window, both players should join the New Zealand club by November this year and they will only play one match against Vanuatu's FC Tafea on October 31st.
Speaking to Village sports, Finau said he and Vakatalesau always had a dream to play overseas and will leave our shores after the IDC.
Finau and Vakatalesau have also been named in the Fiji soccer squad to defend the Gold in the Pacific Games in Samoa next month.
