The Ba soccer team has sent a stern warning to all the other teams in the Courts IDC tournament after they defeated Lautoka 2-0 in the last pool match at Churchill Park.

Ba will now face Suva in the first semifinal at 9am while Labasa will take on Nadi in the second semifinal at 10.15am.

Ba just needed a draw to qualify for the semifinals but they went a step further and showed their class.

Osea Vakatalesau opened the scoring in the 42nd minute while Avinesh Waran Swamy scored in the last minute to book the Men in Black the semifinal spot as pool winners.

Ba soccer coach Yogendra Dutt said they will try their utmost best today.


Labasa qualified as runners up from that pool after they held Rewa to a nil all draw.

The Babasiga Lions will be missing the services of their star player Pita Bolaitoga after he copped two yellow cards.

Labasa team captain Taniela Waqa said they will try to improve their performance in the semifinal.


From pool two, Nadi managed to beat Suva 1-0 from a first minute goal to Rusiate Matararega to qualify as pool winners and forced the Whites to go through as runners up.
 
Nadi Captain Ben Amino says they will try to win for their fans.


Meanwhile, in the Premier final Dreketi will clash with Taveuni at 1.30pm.

In the Secondary school final at 12.15pm will see Drasa Secondary take on Saraswati College while in the Primary division, Labasa will take on Ba at 11.30am.

The Super Premier Division final will be played at 3pm.
