The Ba soccer team is preparing to face an unknown Gaitcha side from New Caledonia in its first match of the Fiji Airways OFC Champions League.

Gaitcha who are the New Caledonia champions is relatively unknown to Ba soccer players and coaching officials as the team is making its debut in the competition.

Gaitcha will be counting on their strong recruitment of their local based players like 2011 OFC Player of Year Bertrand Kai, Marius Bako and Pierre Wajoka, who was the captain of the Magenta side that lost the 2005 O-League final to Sydney FC.

Meanwhile, Ba is expected to have Alvin Singh, Malakai Tiwa, Avinesh Waran, Shameel Rao, Abbu Zahid and Jone Vesikula in its starting lineup.

Ba will play Gaitcha at 7pm this Saturday at Govind Park in its first match. In another match on Saturday, Suva will face Auckland City at 4.30pm at the ANZ stadium and you can catch the live commentary of this match on our sister station, Radio Sargam.
