The Ba soccer team was dealt a huge blow when two of its top defenders were ruled out of this weekend crucial match against Lautoka.
Malakai Kanahawe ditched his team players and officials when he left for Australia yesterday, despite training with the side earlier this week.
Ba soccer President Rishi Kumar said they only came to know yesterday that Kanahawe was leaving for Australia and he might not be available for the Fiji Fact also.
Kumar said this has not brought down team morale and the vacuum left by Kanahawe will be filled by Alvin Singh. Kumar said they are expecting a tough battle against Lautoka on Sunday.
The Men In Black also suffered another setback when Avinesh Swamy injured his ankle and will not be playing this weekend.
