Ba soccer teams chances of qualifying for the O-League final has increased after they beat Waitakere United 3-2 yesterday at Govind Park.

Ba coach Yogendra Dutt said their game plan worked in the second half against Waitakere.

He added they had height advantage in the front, that’s why we opted for long balls and it worked out.

According to Dutt he is delighted to have recorded a result which puts his men in with a great chance of returning to the final in 2012.

Ba has repeated their 2007 O-League heroics by defeating Waitakere United 3-2 this afternoon at Govind Park.

Waitakere United scored first in the 31st minute however five minutes later Ba scored through Remeuru Takiata.

First half both teams were locked 1-1.

In the second half Ba took the lead after Jone Salauneune and Malakai Kainihewe found the back of the net.

United scored a consolation goal in the dying moments of the game.

Ba needs now to defeat AS Tefana on the 31st of this month at Govind Park with needed goals to stand a chance of qualifying for the O-League finals.

In other O-League results Koloale FC defeated Amical FC 1-0, Hekari United and Auckland City played to a 1-1 draw where Labasa striker Maciu Dunadamu scored the lone goal for Hekari and AS Tefana beat Mont Dore 2-0.
