An early morning fire has left a Ba family homeless after their two bedroom house and all its contents were destroyed.

The two bedroom house which was made of concrete, timber and corrugated iron was destroyed in Namosau, Ba at around half past five this morning.

Fire fighters responded quickly and fought hard to contain the fire from spreading to the next building which was attached to the house.

During the time of the incident the family members were asleep, luckily they managed to escape in time and no one was hurt.

The National Fire Authorities (NFA) initial investigations reveals that the fire was possibly caused by an electrical related, originating from a short circuit in the meter box which was located inside the kitchen of the house.
