Despite losing to Tafea FC by 2-1 in the O-League playoff match yesterday, the Vodafone Ba side displayed good soccer skills.
Tafea FC scored the first goal fourteen minutes into the first half and Ba equalized into the sixteenth minute in the second half but Tafea FC came back and scored the winning goal in the 39th minute to clinch victory.
Speaking from the Municipal Stadium in Port Vila, our soccer commentator Raymond Stoddart said that one of the major hurdles the boys had to encounter was the scorching heat they played in.
In another match played yesterday, defending O-League champions Waitakere United beat Auckland City 1-nil and it leaves them top of Group A and another step closer to qualify for the 2008 FIFA Club World Cup.
Ba will now travel to the Solomon’s to meet Kossa FC on Monday in another O-League match.
