The chiefs and members of the Ba Provincial Council have extended their sympathy to the people who faced the devastation to their houses and farms in light of Hurricane Tomas.
Chairman, Ratu Meli Saukuru on behalf of the council said while the western division is free from the effects of hurricane Tomas, the Council is expected to offer their assistance to the people affected in other areas like the Northern and the Eastern division.
Ratu Meli said the chiefs meeting kicks off on the 30th of this month in Suva and the issue of relief supplies are expected to be discussed in the meeting.
