Ba beat Suva 1-0 in their first leg of the Champion versus Champion series at Churchill Park.
Avinesh Waran Swamy scored in the fifth minute of the second half after a lapse of concentration in Suva's defense.
Suva ended the game with 10 players after Samuela Vula was shown the red card.
Ba has won the Champion Versus Champion title for a record 16 years and they will be chasing a 17th title this year.
The second match will be played next Sunday 4pm at Govind Park with Ba standing at an advantage with 3 points.
