If you live in the high Ba areas please start storing water.
This is the message from Divisional Water Engineer Western Samuela Tubui who said Ba residents need to store water as water cuts are expected due to a burst main at the Varaciva Pumping Station.
He said the areas expected to be affected are Varadoli, Vagia, areas around Vuni-samaloa and areas towards Lautoka.
Tubui says their engineers are currently working to fix the problem and water supply is expected to normalise by tomorrow morning.
Meanwhile, the Works Ministry is in the process of installing diesel generators at water pumping stations to ensure water cuts do not occur during power disruptions.
Spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete said some generators are expected to be installed by the end of next month.
Water pumps are currently running on electricity and do not have backup generators.
