Ba Provincial Council chairman Ratu Ovini Bokini said the province will abide by the Great Council of Chiefs regulation of 1993 which they believe is the legal document for the GCC.
Ratu Ovini said they have challenged the new GCC promulgation of 2008, which is now before the High Court.
Ratu Ovini said they also need clarification on whether the new promulgation allows the Bose Ni Vanua of all the provinces to nominate their members to the GCC.
Meanwhile, the new GCC promulgation states that the Bose Ni Vanua of the provinces nominate the three members from their province for the GCC.
