The Ba Soccer Association is adamant that Tavua striker, Jone Salauneune should be given the release to play for the Men in Black this season.

Fiji Football Association had made a decision earlier that Salauneune cannot proceed with his transfer to Ba as he had first applied his release for Nadi and then changed his mind to join Ba.

Fiji FA had ruled that a player cannot apply for his release and then withdraw it to join another team.

However, Ba Football has filed an appeal in relation to the Salauneune case claiming that FIFA had provided an instruction to Fiji FA last year where players can apply and withdraw more than once for their release in a transfer window.

The Fiji FA will have its board meeting this Sunday where a decision will be made on the particular issue.

Meanwhile, a decision on the protest lodged by Tailevu Naitasiri against Nadroga in the Promotion Relegation series will also be taken this Sunday.
