Ba Retain BOG Title In Style
It was sweet revenge for the Men In Black who lost 2-1 to the Babasiga Lions in their opening pool game.
Ba led 1-0 at halftime from an own goal from Labasa after a Pita Bolaitoga cross was nodded back into his own goal mouth by Labasa defender Samuela Kautoga.
The Yogendra Dutt coached side then increased their lead to two nil in the secondhalf through former Labasa rep Maciu Dunadamu after combining well with Josua Wilson.
This is how soccer commentator Raymond Stodarrt described Dunadamu's goal for Ba.
Labasa came back with a goal to Hendry Dyer but it was not enough to stop Ba from returning the BOG title.
Ba defender Malakai Kanahawe said the win was a team work effort.
Ba Soccer President Rishi Kumar also praised his boys efforts as they faced a lot of criticism before the BOG pool game.
