Almost 90 percent of people living in Ba are without water.
The Ba Water Supply Department has confirmed that out of the 6 main pipes supplying water to the whole of Ba, only one is working. The remaining five are not working due to mechanical faults.
Village News spoke to a number of residents of Tauvegavega and Navutu, Ba, who said that they are facing difficulties to send their children to school because of no water since the last few days.
It is still unclear on when the water supply will be restored.
The Divisional Water Engineer Western is expected to comment later today.
