Defending FMF/Blues Gas Battle of the Giants champion, Vodafone Ba remain in contention for a semifinal spot after thumping Nasinu 4-0 in their third pool game this morning.
The Men In Black have 4 points and are tied with Lautoka but they have a better goal difference as they have scored 7 goals and have only 3 goals scored against them while the Sugar City boys have scored 4 goals with 3 goals scored against them.
Ba coach, Yogendra Dutt remains focused to defend the BOG title and is confident for a big win against Nadroga at 3.15pm.
Labasa is the first team to book a place in the semifinal from Pool 1 after recording 3 wins from their 3 games and currently lead with 9 points.
The runner-up spot is up for grabs with the Vodafone Ba and Shop and Save Lautoka fighting it out.
Lautoka will have an advantage as they are playing the last game of the day at 7pm and will know the score-line of both Nadroga and Ba game before they will take on Labasa.
In Pool 2, Navua are through to the semifinal while Nadi, Tavua, with Power Electric/Vodafone Suva all fighting it out for who will be in the semi-final.
Suva will have to win against Navua at 5.45pm to be able to qualify for the semi-final.
Just looking at last night’s results, Suva and Rewa played to a 1-all draw, Lautoka hold Ba to a 2-all draw, Labasa beat Nadroga 3-0 while Navua and Nadi were tied at 1 a piece.
Game currently in progress between Nadi and Tavua with both side locked at nil all.
