More than 80 chiefs, Tikina Heads and representatives from the Youths, Women and Men’s department in the Ba Province will converge in Suva for a 2 day meeting starting tomorrow.
Ba Provincial Council Chairman Ratu Meli Saukuru said invited speakers will include a Prime Minister’s office representative who will speak on the Government’s intentions.
However, Ratu Meli said the first item on the agenda is the financial status of the province in the first three months.
The group also has plans to visit the Saint Giles Hospital and the Prisons.
Ratu Meli said there is a great need out there and people who are bound by mental illnesses and those in jail must be cared for by their families and relatives.
The Ba Provincial Council Meeting will start tomorrow morning at 9.
