Vodafone Ba soccer midfielder Ronald Lawrence has been fined $1000 by the Fiji Football Association Disciplinary Committee.
Lawrence was shown a red card in Ba's 1-2 loss to Suva during a National Soccer League match for violent behaviour.
Fiji FA Disciplinary Committee Secretary Jainen Sukhu said more harsher punishment would be given to players if they are found threatening match officials.
Lawrence will be allowed to play for Ba in the Fiji Bitter Fact if he clears his fine.
