The Ba Town Mayor said the time has now come for the change in the local government legislation.
Ba Mayor Pravin Bala said they have been calling for a change and they are happy with the Interim Local Government Minister Lekh Ram Vayeshnoi's call.
He has also called on every municipal council to support the Interim Local Minister.
This comes after Vayeshnoi earlier said that they are now looking at reviewing the local government act.
