The Fiji soccer giants, Vodafone Ba have been crowned the 2008 New World Super 6 National Soccer League series champions after beating defending champions, Vodafone Labasa 2-0 at Subrail Park this afternoon.
The win was sweeter for the Ba side as both goals were scored by former Labasa rep Pita Bolaitoga and Maciu Dunadamu in the first half in front of the 10,000 plus crowd.
Bolaitoga scored the opening goal in the 13th minute of play and this is how soccer commentator Mika Kaloucava described the first goal.
Dunadamu put Ba 2 ahead in the 20th minute of play.
Ba ended the match with only 10 players after Macilai Nakama was red-carded.
The Men In Black also received the $15,000 dollars prize-money after winning the National Soccer League series.
