The Ba Town council is still assessing the damages done to the infrastructure in town following the recent floods.
Ba Mayor Praveen Bala said extensive damages were done to the infrastructure and the cost of damages will only be ascertained after assessments are complete.
He adds that they will be seeking funds from agencies to repair the roads.
Meanwhile, Nadi Town Mayor Timoci Koroiqica said they are carrying out maintenance work however he adds that they cannot put a figure to the damages done to the infrastructure.
Many roads have been badly damaged in Nadi and Ba with several potholes in the main roads leading to the towns and the two areas itself.
Meanwhile, all the municipal council's terms expire today as directed interim Local Government Minister Filipe Bole.
Bala has refused to comment while Koroiqica is awaiting the government's decision on whether they have to vacate their office today.
