The Fiji Rugby Union this afternoon received a timely boost ahead of next weeks 7's tournament after BP Oil confirmed that it will sponsor the one day event offering a prize-money of $50,000.

FRU CEO Ratu Timoci Tavanavanua said next weeks BP Oil National 7's will feature 24 provincial teams and the highlight of the day will be the naming of the 12 member squad for the Wellington and San Diego 7's.

Also an additional 25 strong training squad for the Hong Kong and Adeilade 7's will be named after the final.

The BP Oil National 7's will carry a total prize-money of $40,000 with $15,000 going to the winners.

The FRU will also assist some of the Northern teams with their transport costs.

The BP Oil 7's will be held at Churchill park in Lautoka next Saturday.
