The Fiji Rugby Union has announced this afternoon its decision to postpone the BP Lautoka 7s scheduled for this Saturday at Lautoka's Churchill Park.

Fiji Rugby Union Operations Manager, Vilikesa Rinavuaka, in a statement this afternoon states this is in the wake of warnings issued from the Fiji Meteorological Office of strong winds and flash flooding expected throughout the country over the next few days.

The final BP Oil National 7s tournament will now be played next Saturday 17 January 2009.

However, the Fiji Rugby Union will be forced to look for a new venue to host the tournament as Churchill Park will be unavailable next week due to renovations.

Meanwhile, Digicel Fiji 7's Coach Waisale Serevi has confirmed that the National Team will be taking part in the BP 7's Series this weekend as the Fiji Barbarians.

Serevi said that after a meeting with FRU late yesterday, he was advised that his training squad will not join individual province or clubs but play as one team.
