For the first time in Fiji’s soccer history, the away goal rule has been adopted for competitions which will have two match series.

This rule will apply in the Promotion relegation series and the Champions league where matches will be played on a home and away basis.

The away goal rule is only used when both teams have equal points after two matches and a winner will then be decided from the goals that they have scored.

Here, the team that has scored more away goals which is at the opponents venue will win the series.

One away goal will be counted as two.

Meanwhile, the second leg of the Promotion relegation series between Tailevu/Naitasiri and Savusavu which was scheduled to be played at Ganilau Park has been shifted to Subrail Park at 3pm this Sunday.

Savusavu already has scored an away goal in the first leg where the match ended in a 1-all draw.
