With the Crimes Decree effective from this Monday, an awareness workshop is being organised by the Information Ministry for media personnel to familiarize themselves with the Decree.
The Information Ministry said this will be facilitated by Former High Court Judge Justice Nazhat Shameem tomorrow adding this is to help and create awareness on the Decree for government media liaison officers and media personnel.
This will also be the Media Liaison Officers first meeting for 2010 and issues of discussion includes the PER Media Censorship/ Media Decree and Government's New Media Initiative amongst others.
The workshop will be held at the Police Academy in Nasese.
