Firing a person on grounds that are petty is not acceptable.
Speaking to Village news, Fiji Inland Revenue and Customs Authority Staff Association General Secretary, Kenneth Zinck said the Authority was unfair in firing Lepani Rabo and Joseva Leano and this showed their position in the matter.
According to the CEO of FIRCA, Jitoko Tikolevu, Rabo was fired for foul language in an offensive manner whereas Leano was terminated for alleged misconduct and abuse of office.
However, Zinck adds they will be perusing the reinstatement of the two but first want to see Chaudhry and Tikolevu removed from office.
