Authorities in the Northern Division have relaxed the curfew that is in place for the Division allowing people to carry on with their cleanup work.
Commissioner Northern Colonel Inia Seruiratu said from this morning, despite the curfew, they are encouraging people to go back to their various homes.
He added this is being done to ensure that the evacuees get back on their own feet as soon as possible and so that they can get a picture of the type of assistance to hand out.
At the moment there are over 7,000 evacuees in over 120 evacuation centres in the Northern Division.
Meanwhile, the people in Bua have faced the full brunt of Cyclone Tomas and are now assessing the damages done to their farms and homes.
A resident Jale Beteki said the farms have suffered severe damages.
Meanwhile, Labasa resident Rita Vakadranu said people are now moving out of homes and cleaning up.
