The Fiji Under-18 team was thrashed by the Australian Schoolboys team by 40-0 last night in the game that was held as the curtain raiser match to the All Blacks and Wallabies match.

Assistant coach, Wame Naivalu said the team from Australia proved too good for Fiji and capitalized on the mistakes that our boys were doing.

However, Naivalu said the boys managed to improve in some areas but the defence from their counterparts was too strong that our boys could not even cross the score-line.

Naivalu added that most of the boys were traveling to Australia for the first time and were shocked to see the huge number of spectators that were there to watch the game.

Experience wise, Naivalu feels that the boys had a lot of exposure and believe that they have learnt a lot from the games that they played in Australia.

The Fiji Under-18 team returns to Fiji next week.
