The Australian Government will commit $30 million to support Fiji's reconstruction efforts following the destruction of Tropical Cyclone Winston.
This is in addition to Australia's $23 million assistance package for immediate relief following the cyclone, bringing Australia's total contribution to $53 million.
Australian High Commissioner Margaret Twomey said the funding will go towards three areas.
Twomey said Australia will build better infrastructure that is resilient to future natural disasters and fully complies with Fiji's building codes and standards.
