Australia has won the Tri Nations after a ten-year wait thanks to a 25-20 win over New Zealand at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday.
The Wallabies outscored their visitors by three tries to two in what was a sweet win before the start of the Rugby World Cup.
Wallabies led first half by 20-3.
New Zealand bounced back after the break to level the scores and set up a thrilling finish to a pulsating Tri-Nations decider.
But just as it seemed the visitors were going to seize the game by the scruff of the neck, a piece of brilliance by Australia's scrum half Will Genia created the decisive try for Kurtley Beale.
Wallabies tries came from Fiji born Radike Samo, Will Genia and Kurtley Beale, while Conrad Smith and Ma'a Nonu scored for the All Blacks.
35 year old Radike Samo was chosen man of the match last night who is the oldest Wallaby player.
Meanwhile, Ireland will go into the Rugby World Cup without a warm up Test win to their name after they fell to a gritty England side 20-9 yesterday.
