Australia will not bring its number one side to the Fiji Water Centennial Oceania 7s next week.
This has been confirmed by coach Michael O’Connor.
Speaking to Fijivillage from Australia, O’Connor said he cannot risk his experienced players in Fiji as the Gold Coast 7s will kick off a week after the Fiji Water 7s.
Meanwhile, teams like Kenya, Tonga, the United Arab Emirates, Tahiti and Niue will not feature in next week’s Fiji Water Centennial International 7s tournament.
It has also been revealed that the Digicel Fiji 7s team will feature in the Oceania tournament in the Fiji Water Centennial International 7s next Friday and Saturday at the ANZ Stadium with Samoa, Australia, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
The International tournament will feature Argentina, France and USA.
