Australia will take an under strength team to the Dubai 7s as a number of top players have been ruled out due to injuries.
Australia Sevens coach, Michael O’Connor who toured Fiji recently for the Coral Coast 7s tournament has been forced to make some last minute changes.
Missing in action will be captain Ed Jenkins, Shannon Walker, Jacob Taylor and Lewis Holland.
The injuries mean that just four players remain from the squad which played in Gold Coast.
Australia is in Pool D with France, Canada and USA. Meanwhile, Fiji’s first match will be against Spain at 6.50pm this Friday.
