Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama has today come out publically and said that the governments of Australia and New Zealand are trying to collapse Fiji's economy.
Bainimarama said he knows that Australia and NZ are pushing hard to ensure Fiji is not assisted by the United Nations, the EU, the Commonwealth and the Asian Development Bank.
However he said Fiji will continue to move on the path it has taken.
Bainimarama said Fiji's economy can be drastically affected if Australia and NZ decides on trade sanctions.
But he said this will also hurt Australia and NZ as we import more goods from them.
