The Digicel Fiji Sevens team is likely to face either New Zealand or Australia in the quarterfinals of the USA Sevens this weekend.

The Iliesa Tanivula coached side is in Pool B with USA, Canada and South Africa and will play the runner up or the winner of Pool A in the top 8.

Fiji only reached the quarterfinals of the USA Sevens last year and Tanivula will be out to finish the tournament on a high note after winning the New Zealand Sevens.

The side arrived in Las Vegas yesterday as the top favourite side to walk away with the USA Sevens title but the players have been reminded by management to forget about the Wellington win and stay focused for this two day tournament.

Last year, the Nadi man did not have a good start to his IRB Sevens Series campaign where he suffered defeat in the quarterfinals in both the NZ and USA Sevens, a memory he wants to erase on Saturday night.

Fiji's opening pool game is against USA on Sunday morning at 8.44am.
