The Ousted Prime Minister has come out strongly saying that New Zealand and Australia did not support his interim government as claimed by interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and Fiji Labour Party Leader Mahendra Chaudhry.
Laisenia Qarase's comments follows Bainimarama and Chaudhry's statements that Australia and New Zealand are practicing double standards by recognizing the Qarase led government in 2000 and 2001 and not recognizing the current interim government.
Qarase said no double standards are being practiced by Australia and New Zealand.
Qarase added that he did not lie to the Court of Appeal in 2001 as alleged by Bainimarama, as his interim government did not resign after the Chandrika Prasad court ruling because they were asked to continue.
