Australia and New Zealand will be allowed to take part in ministerial meetings in Fiji next week.

Radio Australia reports that the chairman of the Pacific Islands Forum, Dr Feleti Sevele had confirmed that the two countries Foreign Affairs Ministers Winston Peters and Stephen Smith will be in Fiji next week attending the Ministerial Contact Group adding the interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama is aware of this.

The meeting comes three weeks after Fiji suspended its involvement with the Pacific Forum joint working group.
