The Australian Schoolboys defeated the Fiji Under 18s, 29-12 yesterday.

The visiting schoolboys dominated in all aspects of play and were leading at half time 10-5 compliments of a try by fullback Jonah Placid that was converted and a penalty. 

Fiji’s reply in the first half came in the dying minute of play through Nasinu Secondary School’s winger Emosi Bure scoring in the corner.

In the second half, Fiji opened the scoring through a try in the early stages of the game through a runaway try by to captain Sireli Misiwini to give Fiji the lead 10-12 for the first time in the game. 
 
However the Australian Schoolboys scored three unanswered tries, with the final score 29-12

Australian schoolboys prop Neori Nadruku said it will be one of his unforgettable moments.


National Under 18 captain Sireli Misiwini said the Australian schoolboys proved to be the better team on the day.

The Australian schoolboys will now head to New Zealand for a three match tour.
