A 68 year old Australian citizen is in police custody for allegedly sexually molesting a 4 year old girl in Labasa.
Regional Police Operations Officer Northern SP Bola Tamanisau confirmed that the man who was visiting the country allegedly committed the offence earlier this week.
The victim and the suspect are neighbors.
Police arrested him at the Waiqele Airport when he was trying to flee the country.
He is expected to be charged later today.
Meanwhile, a man in his 30s is still being interrogated by Labasa police for allegedly raping a 79 year old woman.
It is alleged that the 79 year old woman was at home when one of her neighbors sent the suspect to look after her when the alleged incident took place.
