The Australian government is looking into aiding Fiji's health system further after the current aid expires at the end of this year.
The Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, James Batley informed the doctors at the CWM Hospital that they will talk to the Australian Government about the matter.
Batley was also told by the CWM doctors during his visit to the Hospital to meet the Australian Cardiac Team in the country this week, that Fiji does not have an anaesthetist as the ones employed by CWM Hospital have migrated overseas.
Batley assured the doctors that he will talk to his government about it.
