Good news for the farmers affected by the floods early this year as the Australian Government today gave $1 million to the Ministry of Agriculture to cover the supply of seedlings and planting materials.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Australian High Commissioner James Batley said agriculture plays an important role in the livelihoods and food security here in Fiji.

Batley said after assessments of the damages made by Secretariat for the Pacific Community, they came up with some proposals.
