Australia coach Ewen McKenzie expects James Horwill to rejoin his squad for next week's trip to South Africa but has offered no assurances that the big lock will resume the captaincy.
Horwill suffered a hamstring injury two weeks ago which ruled him out of the home Rugby Championship Tests against South Africa and Argentina.
Meanwhile the rugby championship will be on a break before the Springboks host the Wallabies on the 29th of this month at 3am while the Pumas play the All Blacks at 10am.
