By the end of March this year, the four Australian based airlines providing flights into Fiji are expected to bring an estimated 5000 passengers on a weekly basis.
Director Civil Aviation Akuila Waradi confirms that the seat capacity under the Air Services Agreement between Fiji and Australia will allow them to carry 5000 passengers on a weekly basis to and from Fiji.
Waradi confirms that Jet Star, which is expected to start services to Fiji from March this year is now engaged with the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji as it sets the platforms to commence operations.
Once Jetstar is in operation a total of four Australia airlines will be providing flights to Fiji which include V Australia, Pacific Blue and Qantas Airlines.
