Three Australian Federal Police officers are in the country to help the Fiji Police and other authorities including the Land Transport Authority to determine the cause of the bus fire which claimed ten lives in Maleqereqere, Sigatoka on Thursday.
Police Chief of Staff Operations, SSP Emori Laqai has confirmed the team of officers will be at the CWM hospital this afternoon to conduct further tests on the ten bodies.
SSP Laqai said following this, the bodies will be released for burial as all of them have been identified and post moterm conducted.
Meanwhile Transport Ministry Spokesperson, Sainiana Waqainabete has confirmed that a cabinet paper is also being prepared by the Ministry to make changes to the LTA Act which will see the condition of buses being reviewed every six months.
