The Health Ministry today received a boat and three four wheel-drive vehicles from the Australian Government today.

At the hand-over ceremony, the Acting Australian High Commissioner Judith Robinson said she hopes the vehicles, together with the boat will assist health officials in their delivery of essential services to the people of Fiji.

The Permanent Secretary for Health, Dr Salanieta Saketa said they are overwhelmed with the assistance which is of great help to the national typhoid vaccination campaign and the health outreach clinics in Beqa.

Dr Saketa said the Ministry of Health will use the boat for the 10 villages on Beqa and the neighbouring Yanuca islands.
