The Australian Country hockey side have booked its place in the Pacific Cup hockey semifinal after two wins in the tournament so far.

The top seeded side beat Fiji President's XI 4-1 in their opening match yesterday and this afternoon they thrashed Fiji Warriors 8-1.

Australian Country will play their third match later this afternoon against New Zealand Barbarians.

In other games today Barbarians beat New Zealand Indian 2-0 and in the womens division Australian country also proved too strong for Canberra Cameos, winning the match by 8-1.

The Pacific Cup hockey tournament will continue tomorrow at the National Hockey turf in Laucala.
