Australian 7s coach Michael O'Connor has urged his players to forget about their performance in Las Vegas and focus on the New Zealand 7s this weekend.

Speaking to Fijivillage from Wellington, O'Connor said the players were excited about the win over Fiji in Vegas last week.

O'Connor added that with Samoa, Tonga and Kenya in their pool they have a lot to improve on.

O'Connor said consistency will be the key and they have full respect of other teams.

Australia will play their first pool match against Tonga at 1.03pm this Friday.

Meanwhile, Fiji will take on New Zealand in their first pool match at 2.06pm, France at 5.35pm and will later face Spain at 7.28pm in their last pool match.

The Cup quarterfinals start at 1.33pm Saturday, Cup semifinals at 5.35pm while the cup final kicks off at 8.30pm.
