Our commitment to Fiji's development remains substantial.
These are the words of the Australian High Commissioner James Batley who said the Australian Government is committed in helping Fiji through various developments especially in Education.
Batley said through their Fiji Education Sector Programme they have contribution has been around $5million a year since 2003, by providing technical assistance to the Ministry of Education.
He added this year they will continue with their scholarship programs as well.
However Batley also reiterated that Australia's continuous help through various aid should not be taken as a sign that they have changed their views on the need for Fiji to return to democracy.
