The less ventured tourist spots in the Eastern Division should be able to feel the direct benefit of Air Pacific's Auckland to Nausori flight.
These are the words of Prime Minister Commodore Bainimarama and other ministers and guests on hand at the Nausori Airport to welcome the inaugural flight earlier today.
Bainimarama said tourists would often chose to holiday in resorts in the Western Division as it was closer to Nadi Airport, however this could change with Nausori Airport now able to cater for international flights.
Meanwhile the passengers on board said they were happy as it means less travelling time to Suva.
