Attitudes under the spotlight at FRU meeting
The behavior and attitude of certain members of the Fiji 7s players is one of the main reasons why the management team and the co captain are meeting with the FRU Games Committee today.
Kasibulu made the comments after last night’s FRU board meeting, where it was highlighted in the coaching staff and manager’s report that certain players in the team failed to follow the game plan in Hong Kong and Adelaide.
Kasibulu said the board members want to know why these players changed their attitude in the two tournaments as they were on good terms with the coaching staff from the New Zealand and USA 7s.
He confirmed that in the past IRB 7s series the report has not highlighted any of these issues and the FRU board is surprised that it has come up on this tour.
The FRU executives are also expected to meet with coach Iliesa Tanivula and manager Talemo Waqa later today.
The decision on the 7s management team is likely to be made later today.
