Attitude is everything, according to Chiefs head coach Dave Rennie.

But even more important it’s an ability to bring that attitude week in, week out.

It is that consistency of performance that has been lacking in the Chiefs teams of the past and it is something Rennie and his fellow coaches desperately want to address, starting with tonight's round three away match against the consistent Crusaders in Napier.

It is almost a given that the Crusaders, stung by their loss to the Highlanders in Dunedin after scraping a narrow opening win over the Blues in Auckland, will bring plenty of attitude to the McLean Park encounter and the battle of the breakdown will be a fascinating one, both teams having been touched up by the unbeaten Highlanders in that area in the first two weeks of the competition.

Crusaders play Chiefs at 6:35pm while, Force will take on Hurricanes at 11:05pm tonight.
