In a bid to ensure that secondary school athletes are up to par for the national finals, Athletics Fiji is holding weekly and bi-weekly competitions.
National Coach Albert Miller said these competitions, which are being held at the TFL Stadium, saw students from schools around the Central Division meet up with the national reps and test themselves.
Miller added that this is also a chance for athletes who have been earmarked for the Pacific Games such as Banuve Tabakaucoro to go back to the basics.
This is a build up to the Powerade Games which was formerly known as the Coke Cola Games, which will be held towards the end of next month.
